Tony Macaroni opens in Belfast City Centre

A new 180-seat Italian restaurant is due to open in Belfast’s Victoria Square, creating 30 jobs.

The Scottish family-run restaurant chain, Tony Macaroni, is set to open in the unit formerly occupied by Chiquito, following a £600,000 investment.

The new establishment will be the group’s second restaurant in Northern Ireland, with one already in Bangor, Co. Down.

The new restaurant will be launched with a ‘VIP evening’ on Friday, showcasing delicious Italian food and art-deco furnishings including a large indoor tree.

It intends to apply for an alcohol license at the premises, with late night hours also requested, according to a legal notice.

The group now runs 19 restaurants which employ 700 people across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
