The sun shone on the gorgeous backdrop of the Titanic Belfast hotel on a recent midweek evening when four-time International Winemaker of the Year, Neil McGuigan and chef, John Torode arrive back in Belfast to launch the first red in their collaborative series.
Guests from across the trade got to sample the Tempranillo, meet Neil and John and enjoy a delicious meal created by the hotel’s executive chef, Nigel Mannion.
Made with fruit sourced from the Adelaide Hills, the wine offers a complex blend of vibrant forest fruit characters on the nose with underlying notes of dried herbs and mocha. On the palate, the wine combines berry flavours with a savoury earthiness and subtle spice.
This is the third in the McGuigan Torode series and followds the success of the McGuigan Torode Rose and McGuigan Torode Semillon.
