Vietnamese restaurant opening new city venue

Belfast’s first Vietnamese restaurant is set to open at a new venue in the south of the city.

Signage has appeared at the site of the former Eddie Rockets restaurant on the busy Lisburn Road that has revealed the new tenant.

Madame Pho opened its first restaurant in the city back in 2020 on Botanic Avenue and has become an ever-popular spot for foodies wanting to taste authentic cuisine.

Started by William Chang who returned to Belfast after living in Asia for five years, he has made it his mission to educate and highlight the reputation of Vietnamese food in Northern Ireland.

According to its website, Madame Pho offers “great quality, authentic Vietnamese food in a casual dining setting”.

A poster has recently been put up on the window of the Eddie Rocket’s site, which closed earlier this year, that reads “Madame Pho Vietnamese Street Food restaurant and takeaway opening soon”.
