Tim Hortons to open 10th NI outlet in Portadown

Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons is set to open its newest Northern Ireland branch in Portadown on June 30, offering free breakfasts and drinks for a year to some of the first customers.

Located on Meadow Lane, the restaurant, which will seat up to 100 guests, will also include a drive-thru and takeaway service as well as a doing deliveries.

The first guest in the drive-thru and the restaurant will win free drinks for a year, a prize the chain says is worth £3,100, while the first  customers will also receive a  free breakfast meal.

Free drinks and donuts will also be given to those who activate a Tim Hortons digital wallet at the venue, which will open every day from 6am until midnight.

Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK said: “Portadown is a major town with great transport links and has a wonderful community so we look forward to opening our doors here at the end of June.”

The Canadian coffee and donut chain also recently unveiled plans to open yet another outlet at The Outlet in Banbnidge.

It will be located in the car park to the front of the Home Bargains store at the Bridgewater Retail Park.

The new development would stretch to over 3,000 sq ft and it is estimated that 10 new jobs would be created when up and running.

There are currently nine Tim Hortons restaurants in the north and 32 Tim Hortons restaurants in the UK, with a flagship location in Leicester city centre.
