Sensational six vying for LCN hotel award honour

The shortlist for the LCN Awards Hotel of the Year (up to 75 rooms) has been released.

Six properties are this year duking it out for the coveted title, sponsored by Bibendum Wine, with the best of Northern Ireland’s boutique properties among them.

The winner will be crowned at the LCN Awards gala dinner and prize-giving on September 30, and with tickets for the big night selling fast it would be well advised to snap yours up now.

The sensational six shortlisted hotels are:

  • Killeavy Castle Estate Hotel, Newry
  • Ballygally Castle Hotel, Larne
  • The Harrison Chambers of Distinction Hotel, Belfast
  • The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, Templepatrick
  • Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel, Enniskillen
  • The Bushmills Inn, Bushmills

Killyhevlin General Manager David Morrison told LCN: “We are really delighted to be shortlisted in the Hotel Of The Year Category, after what has been a difficult time for the tourism sector.

“A top quality guest experience awaits following the completion of a £1.5 million refurbishment project including newly refurbished guestrooms, and with the addition of six new luxury Woodland Lodges with private hot tubs and a Padel Court.

“Guests can also look forward to lakeside dining experiences, wellness at Kalm Spa and relax at Killyhevlin Health Club, complete with an indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, gym and  we are looking forward to attending the upcoming awards ceremony.”

The big night itself includes a feast of top entertainment, with hosts Sarah Travers and Joe Lindsay returning to keep the show on the track throughout.

This year promises to bigger and better than ever, with past winners licking their lips at the prospect of a return and the possibility that they could again be among the winners of Northern Ireland’s most prestigious hospitality awards.
