OX named top NI restaurant in UK-wide awards

One of only three Northern Ireland restaurants which boasts a Michelin star has been awarded the top spot here at the National Restaurant Awards 2022.

OX Belfast, on Oxford Street, was named ‘Best Restaurant in Northern Ireland’ at the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards.

It clinched the award after more than 200 industry experts spent the past 18 months voting on their best restaurant experiences across the British Isles, taking into consideration not only the food, but the staff, atmosphere, music, design and price.

The academy of voters is made up of chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and critics and other food experts and gastronomes.

BigHospitality annual countdown of the top 100 restaurants in the UK as voted for by the UK’s leading chefs, restaurateurs and food writers, placed OX at number 85 on the top 100 list, the the only restaurant from Northern Ireland to feature.

OX was also recently listed at 51 in list of the top restaurants in the UK by independent restaurant, bar and venue website Squaremeal.
