Bowling alley and indoor golf to give hospitality boost

Belfast City Council is considering plans to transform a former business space in South Belfast into a new leisure development with bowling alleys, indoor golf and a licensed restaurant.

Derry-based letting company MK 5 LTD plans to create a multipurpose entertainment space at the site of the former Adelaide Business Centre on Apollo Road, just off the Boucher Road.

The company hopes to open a bowling alley called ‘Apollo Bowl’ in the redeveloped space along with a soft play area, amusement and virtual reality area, a licensed restaurant and indoor golf.

The planning application states: “Proposed change of use from office space to a Bowling Alley, Restaurant, Indoor Golf, Children’s Soft Play, VR Zone & Amusements, Smoking Area, Carparking, Signage and Associated Site Works”.

Rapport Architects are behind the new design and the application was received by the council on July 5 and the Proposal of Application has been deemed acceptable.

The development is expected to cost £2 million when complete.
