Bar of the Year goes live with Q Radio

It’s all change for this year’s Bar of the Year category in the Licensed & Catering News Awards.

This year, we have teamed up with the Q Radio network to give the public a chance to have their say on which bar should be crowned the best in Northern Ireland.

From tonight and over the weekend, Q Radio will be visiting all eight finalists in this category – which is sponsored by Tennents NI. Their teams will be broadcasting live from each bar, chatting to customers and finding out what it is that makes their favourite venues so special.

They will also be encouraging everyone to cast an online vote for the LCN Bar of the Year 2016.

The eight finalists this year are: Pretty Mary’s, Moira; The Speckled Hen, Lisburn; The Morning Star, Belfast; Mary’s Bar, Magherafelt; The Central Winebar, Ballycastle; Brewbot, Belfast; The Albany, Belfast and Harbour & Co., Donaghadee.

The live broadcasts get underway tonight (May 19) at 6pm in The Morning Star, followed by The Speckled Hen (7.30pm-8.30pm) and Pretty Mary’s (9pm-10pm).
