Iconic Belfast nightclub property on market for £1.3 million
The former Milk nightclub site on Tomb Street, a key venue in Belfast’s nightlife history, has been put up for sale with a price tag of £1.3 million.
With a capacity of 600 and a seven-day, 3 a.m. entertainment licence, the property offers a unique opportunity for new ownership in a lively part of the city. This single-storey red-brick building leads into a three-storey layout, featuring a ground-floor bar, lounge, and stage, alongside a first-floor dance floor, DJ booth, and mezzanine-level VIP area, all set up and ready for immediate use.
Situated near Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter and just a five-minute walk from Ulster University’s new city campus, the venue is ideally positioned to capture high footfall, particularly from students and visitors in the area. Property agents Avison Young highlight its prime location near Custom House Square, which is fast becoming a central hub in the city’s hospitality and entertainment landscape.
Over the years, the Tomb Street property has been home to several popular nightclubs. It first rose to prominence as Milk, which operated for nearly a decade until 2009. Milk was succeeded by Rain, a mainstay of Belfast’s nightlife until its closure in 2014. Other rebrands followed, with the site relaunching as T-Street Warehouse, then Fourteen Tomb Street, and most recently Libertine, which closed in October 2023 after operating for two years under Elwynn Leisure Ltd, co-owned by Jim Crawford and actor Kris Nairn. Elwynn Leisure, which also ran Cuckoo on Lisburn Road, went into liquidation in late 2023.
The current owner, 10-14 Ltd, a subsidiary of Jeeves Hospitality owned by entrepreneur Barry Connolly, has developed a strong hospitality portfolio across Northern Ireland. Known for launching major brands like Red Bull in Ireland and his success with Fulfil nutrition bars, Connolly’s decision to sell the Tomb Street property marks a notable shift. For potential buyers, this sale presents the chance to breathe new life into a well-known venue and tap into the growing demand for city-centre entertainment options.
