Tourism Northern Ireland Hosts Fleadh Celebration Event in Belfast
Tourism NI hosted a special event in Belfast on Thursday 6th August to profile the region’s tourism offering as Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann takes place in the city.
The Tourism NI Fleadh Brunch took place at The Bullitt Hotel, attended by Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald, as well as Ellvena Graham, Chair of Tourism NI and Laura McCorry, Chief Executive of Tourism NI.
Key tour operators, stakeholders, government representatives, tourism partners and local and international media were also in attendance.
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald and Ellvena Graham, Chair of Tourism NI spoke at the event, which aimed to highlight the value of hosting major events like the Fleadh, showcasing the positive impact they have on tourism, the economy and local communities.
The Department for the Economy provided £1 million of funding to Belfast City Council for this year’s Fleadh.
The funding supported the delivery of the event, helping to position Northern Ireland as a destination of choice for visitors from across the island of Ireland and beyond. It was also being used to achieve visitor numbers of over 700,000 and support a programme of more than 1,000 volunteers.

A number of international media, broadcasters, travel journalists, photographers and digital content creators from key tourism markets including Great Britain, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, United States and New Zealand were among those who attended Tourism NI’s Fleadh Brunch event.
