Yo! Sushi bound for Belfast

Yo! Sushi bound for Belfast

Victoria Square centre manager Michelle Greeves and Marcon Fit-Out director Mark McElroy get a taste of what will be on offer at the new YO! Sushi restaurant in Belfast.

Japanese restaurant franchise, YO! Sushi will open its first Northern Irish outlet in Belfast before Christmas.

Marcon Fit-Out  of Antrim is currently delivering the 67-seater restaurant, which should be ready to trade in early December at new premises in Victoria Square.

Each YO! Sushi delivers Japanese-inspired food via the now iconic conveyor belt to customers and naturally the belt will be the hub of the eagerly-awaited Belfast restaurant.

Founded in 1997, YO! Sushi has more than 70 restaurants worldwide and it currently brings a slice of urban Tokyo to more than five million customers annually across the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Scandinavia.

Customers in the Belfast restaurant will be able to choose from more than 80 Japanese-inspired items freshly prepared daily including soups, rice or noodle-based dishes, salads, tempura and various hot classics.

Michelle Greeves, centre manager at Victoria Square, said that she was delighted to be welcoming YO! Sushi to Victoria Square:

“It’s a testament to the success and profile of the centre that YO! Sushi! has chosen us as the location for its first Northern Irish restaurant,” she added. “The stylish new eatery is a welcome boost to our entertainment offering and to the city’s evening economy, introducing the people of Belfast and visitors to a sushi experience like no other.”
