wagamama to Open New Restaurant in Odyssey Place

Creating 40 new jobs

wagamama, one of the UK’s most recognisable dining brands, has announced that it will open a new restaurant at popular leisure destination Odyssey Place later this year – creating 40 new jobs.

The opening will mark the brand’s second venture in Northern Ireland, building on the success of its existing location at Victoria Square, with guests able to look forward to the fresh, vibrant pan-Asian-inspired dishes that wagamama is renowned for.

The new 3,500 sq ft restaurant at Odyssey Place, which is managed by CBRE NI, is ideally positioned to cater to visitors attending concerts and live events at The SSE Arena, supporters heading to Belfast Giants fixtures, as well as residents, employees and visitors to the nearby Titanic Quarter.

Alice Eagle, Senior Regional Sales and Marketing Manager at wagamama, said:

“We’re very pleased to be expanding our presence in Northern Ireland with a second Belfast location. Following the strong performance of our Victoria Square restaurant, this new opening at Odyssey Place represents an exciting next step for the brand locally.

“Titanic Quarter is one of the most dynamic and attractive areas of the city, and Odyssey Place offers a fantastic opportunity for us to position wagamama at the heart of a thriving leisure and entertainment destination. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests for everything from pre-show meals to casual dining with family and friends.”

wagamama will join an established line-up of food and beverage operators at Odyssey Place that includes Five Guys, Zizzi, Char & Mash, Nando’s, MB Chicken, and Little Wing Pizzeria’s ‘Sliced’ outlet. Its arrival further strengthens the scheme’s appeal as a go-to dining destination for visitors to the area.

Odyssey Place continues to offer opportunities for prospective occupiers, with 15,000 sq ft of space currently available across a range of units suitable for food and beverage, leisure and complementary uses.

Deborah Cromie of CBRE NI, property managers for Odyssey Place, added:

“wagamama represents a significant addition to the tenant line-up at Odyssey Place. As one of Belfast’s leading leisure destinations, it’s a natural fit for a brand of this calibre, particularly given the energy and footfall generated by The SSE Arena and the wider Titanic Quarter.

“wagamama’s arrival reflects the continued momentum at Odyssey Place and the growing appeal of the area as a place to dine, socialise and spend time. We’re confident it will be a fantastic addition for visitors and event-goers alike, further strengthening the overall offering at the scheme.”
