The Ringland Group acquires landmark building on Callender Street

Major £12 million commitment will deliver a new world-class hospitality destination in the heart of the Belfast One district

Belfast-based developer and operator The Ringland Group today announced the purchase of a prime 36,000 sq ft building on Callender Street in Belfast city centre.
The acquisition, valued at over £2 million, paves the way for a planned £10 million redevelopment.

“This building sits at the crossroads of Belfast’s retail core and the fast-growing hospitality scene in the Belfast One District,” said Peter Ringland, Managing Director of The Ringland Group. “Our vision is to create yet another iconic hotel that showcases the best of Northern Irish food, drink and culture while adding real momentum to the Belfast One district’s regeneration.”

The deal, the latest in a series of strategic investments by The Ringland Group, was funded by long-standing banking partner Ulster Bank. The project also aligns with Belfast City Council’s ongoing public-realm improvements, complementing imminent streetscape upgrades already planned for Callender Street.

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with phased openings expected from mid 2026. The scheme is projected to create over 150 construction jobs and more than 120 permanent positions upon completion.
