Popular Bangor Mexican expanding into Belfast

A well-loved Mexican restaurant from Bangor is preparing to introduce its flavours to Belfast, marking an exciting new chapter for the business.

Bebe Adrianos Mexicanos, which has been serving up fresh, flavourful dishes since 2016, has built a loyal following for its burritos, tacos, and rice bowls. Over the years, the restaurant has earned accolades, including the title of ‘UK’s Best Burrito Bar’ at the 2023 Good Food Awards and recognition at the NI Takeaway Awards.

Chef and owner Fraze, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, recently announced the expansion via social media, hinting that the new location will be on Belfast’s Malone Road.

“Over eight years in Bangor, it’s been the aim from day one to get opened in Belfast and it’s happening… We’ll be bringing our multi award winning establishment to Belfast.”

The Belfast branch is expected to open within the next few weeks. Acknowledging the challenges facing the hospitality sector, Fraze spoke candidly about the difficulties of maintaining a business amid rising costs.

“The past three years with the huge price increases has been extremely hard on not just us but the entire hospitality sector with tens of thousands closing their doors… if I’m completely honest I was just days away from doing the same myself.

“This chance to go to Belfast has been a lifeline for Bebes, with huge footfall and traffic. The Bangor store we will be trying our very best to keep open as long as feasibly possible and hopefully long into the future.”

Expressing gratitude, he thanked loyal patrons and staff for their unwavering support. “A huge thanks to all our loyal customers and staff that has worked with us over the years.. We love you guys. We’ll see yous very soon in Belfast”.
