Plans in place for Hospitality Exchange 2018

Planning for this year’s Hospitality Exchange event is now well advanced.

This annual event – NI’s flagship hospitality conference and trade exhibition – takes place on October 16 and 17 in the Crowne Plaza, Belfast.

And it’s a packed agenda this year, featuring legendary chef Marco Pierre White and trend-setting food critic, Giles Coren as well as cutting-edge insights from the likes of Lonely Planet and TripAdvisor.

In a year which has seen unprecedented growth in the hotel sector here, the conference will include the launch of an industry forecast for the Northern Irish market by leading benchmarking company, STR. This study will unmask the opportunities and challenges created by the influx of new product and provide in-depth analysis of the local hotel landscape.

Unveiling the programme recently, Gavin Carroll, president of the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation (NIHF), promised an “exciting time” for all those attending from the sector:

“This has always been a dynamic industry and the massive growth we’re experiencing has really shown the economic potential of hotels,” he added.

“The programme for 2018 provides valuable insights into current issues including skills, promotion and coping with change. We have an impressive line-up which includes internationally-acclaimed names and I can genuinely say that there is something for everyone at this year’s event.”

The Hospitality Exchange event also provides the ideal opportunity for industry colleagues and suppliers to network:

“In this digital age, it’s important that we remember how powerful face-to-face relationships actually are,” added Gavin.

The finale of this year’s event will be a Venetian-themed Masquerade Ball for Hospitality Exchange 2018, bringing glamour to the forefront of what is set to be the industry’s most anticipated party!
