Knoops brings luxury hot chocolate to Belfast

Victoria Square Welcomes Premium Chocolate Drink Brand

Knoops, the luxury chocolate drinks brand, has officially entered the Irish market with its first store in Belfast. Opening just before Christmas, the new outlet is located on the lower level of the Victoria Square shopping centre.

Known for its premium hot chocolates, milkshakes, and iced chocolate drinks, Knoops offers a bespoke experience, allowing customers to choose from over 20 different chocolate strengths and styles. This distinctive approach has positioned the brand as a leader in the growing market for high-quality, personalised beverages.

Established in 2013 by German chocolatier Jens Knoop, the business has experienced significant growth, now operating 24 stores across the UK. Following a successful £8.3 million funding round in late 2023, Knoops has accelerated its expansion plans, with Belfast marking a key milestone as its first Irish location.

The launch reflects Victoria Square’s ongoing success in attracting premium and international brands. Knoops joins a lineup of renowned names, including Krispy Kreme, which is set to open its first Northern Ireland store in early 2025. The US doughnut chain will occupy a unit near The Kitchen bar and restaurant, further enhancing the centre’s appeal as a destination for high-quality food and drink experiences.
