Kaffe O to open café in Remus Uomo’s new £500k flagship

Premium menswear brand Remus Uomo has announced the relocation of its Belfast store from Victoria Square to a new flagship retail space at Unit 2, 16–22 Arthur Street, representing an investment of more than £500k.

The new 5,500 sq. ft. two-floor flagship – due to open in late September 2025 – will debut a dedicated café space with local favourite Kaffe O, marking the first time the Nordic-inspired coffee house has collaborated with a fashion retailer. The move positions the flagship as more than just a store, transforming it into a lifestyle destination where customers can shop, relax and enjoy premium hospitality.

Elevating the customer experience
The Arthur Street flagship will introduce a re-imagined retail concept, designed in collaboration with Mark Brown Studios, Easton Design Office (London) and shopfitters GEM Interiors. Natural wood, stainless and blackened steel, and a bespoke “Belfast Green” tile feature will be complemented by Kaffe O’s signature minimalist café design and menu of speciality coffees, Nordic-inspired bakes and light bites.

The café will be a central feature of the flagship, encouraging shoppers to spend time in-store and positioning the brand firmly at the intersection of retail and hospitality. This destination approach reflects a growing trend among premium brands to build social and experiential elements into their customer journey.

Orla Smyth, Founder of Kaffe O, commented:

“With two existing takeaway units in the city centre, I knew we would only open a sit-in location if the right, truly unique opportunity came along. The space within Remus Uomo is exactly that – a beautiful setting that combines high-end fashion with our Scandinavian offering. We can’t wait to welcome customers to experience it.”

A strategic move for Remus Uomo
All existing Victoria Square staff will transfer to the new store, alongside the creation of a new Retail Store Director role and up to two additional positions, reflecting the increased scale and ambition of the flagship.

Commenting on the move, Adam Finlay, Managing Director of Douglas & Grahame Ltd, said:
“This is a real moment for the brand. Delivering a re-imagined flagship experience in the brand’s home city is a major step forward – one that allows us to strengthen our community in Belfast, deliver a connected retail experience, and set the business up for further growth.”

The Arthur Street flagship will sit alongside Remus Uomo’s standalone stores in Dublin and Glasgow and act as the blueprint for further UK expansion.
