Galgorm puts LCN gong down to hard work of whole team

Galgorm is celebrating after clinching the LCN Award for Hotel of the Year (over 75 room) for 2022.

Collecting the gong from Arisha O’Hagan, above right, of sponsors Titanic Distilleries, Galgorm Collection’s Laura Millar, top left, said: “Winning this award is just fantastic and it is down to the hard work that every member of the team at Galgorm puts in every day of the week. We’ll definitely be celebrating.”

The beaten finalists in this hotly contested category includes Belfast’s Titanic Hotel, Grand Central and Clayton Hotel.

In choosing  Galgorm as the winning venue, Spotcheck judges said: “Staying at this hotel was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. From pre visit communication, to the warm welcome, comfortable and attractive accommodation and excellent facilities, we were treated to a first class experience.  Staff went out of their way to be of service and created an excellent experience in all respects.”

The win comes as the hotel looks to add a 64-bedroom to the resort outside Ballymena.

The development proposal includes plans for a new wing with rooftop pool and spa, external spa garden and an executive lounge linking to the existing hotel.

It comes after a recent expansion at the 380-acre hotel complex which is part of a £30m project to “further expand and enhance the resort and spa facilities” by 2027.

Galgorm Collection says it has invested £60m in the Co Antrim resort since 2010.
