The Parlour Opens at the Europa Following £500,000 Investment

The Europa Hotel has completed a £550,000 investment that has transformed the former Piano Restaurant into The Parlour, a sophisticated new addition to the hotel’s food and beverage offering, while also revitalising its iconic Piano Lounge.

The significant investment reflects the hotel’s commitment to continually enhancing the guest experience and responding to continued customer demand, introducing a stylish new open-plan space that flows seamlessly alongside the Piano Lounge and is designed for relaxed daytime dining, indulgent afternoon teas and vibrant evening gatherings.

The launch of The Parlour has seen the space completely reimagined, featuring luxurious new furnishings, bespoke finishes and elegant contemporary interiors combining soft neutral tones, rich blue upholstery and subtle brass detailing. The Europa’s famous piano has been repositioned within the space, taking pride of place in a dedicated area designed for live music and entertainment.

The transformation has created a bright, welcoming and intimate setting that offers guests views onto Great Victoria Street and a new way to experience the renowned hospitality of Belfast’s landmark hotel.

The Parlour will host the Europa’s celebrated Afternoon Tea experience, offering guests a dedicated setting to enjoy one of the hotel’s most popular offerings. And in the evening, the space will serve a carefully crafted menu of small plates alongside an extensive selection of wine, champagnes and signature cocktails.

The investment has also included a refreshed look for the much-loved Piano Lounge, with new furnishings, new banquet seating and a dedicated long cocktail table where guests can relax to enjoy a sociable drink or relax while waiting for a table. A new Italian marble floor has also been installed outside the Grand Ballroom.

Andy McNeill, General Manager of the Europa Hotel said: “The introduction of The Parlour represents an exciting new chapter for the Europa Hotel. We wanted to create a unique new space that complements the heritage and reputation of the hotel while responding to the changing ways our guests want to socialise, dine and relax. The Parlour provides a beautiful new setting for afternoon tea and evening drinks, while the refreshed Piano Lounge enhances one of the most iconic spaces within the hotel.

Demand for the Piano Lounge continues to grow and this investment allows us to expand our offering, create additional seating capacity and introduce exciting new food and drink experiences for both local guests and visitors to the city.”
