The King’s Quay in Bangor is new NI entry to CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2027

CAMRA has published the 2027 Good Beer Guide and one Northern Irish pub has been added. The Kings Quay which reopened in the city following a rebrand in 2024, has made it onto this year’s list.

The Guide is the definitive guidebook to pubs that serve great cask beer across the UK, and uses an independent, volunteer-led selection process that makes it the authoritative and trusted voice of cask beer drinkers. It features 4,500 pubs, 1,700 brewers and 5,000 beers.

Last year, the popular Ulster Sports Club, was the sole NI entry to the list.

 Located on King Street in Bangor, the bar offers “a broad range of specially selected drinks served in a warm and friendly atmosphere with plenty of good craic.”

The owners said they “have been working hard to turn the bar into a really pleasant place to be. New restrooms, bar area, and a complete interior refresh with lots more exciting plans to come, we are proud to offer our customers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A freshly poured pint of Guinness or a glass of red by our open fire is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or two.”
