Joxer to bring new restaurant to Belfast’s Ormeau Road

A fresh chapter is on the way for Belfast’s food scene as Joxer prepares to launch a new branch in the south of the city. The Ormeau Road venue will officially open its doors on Monday, September 29.

The expansion follows a busy period for the restaurant group. In January 2025, Joxer closed its Bangor site, thanking customers for their support, while confirming that the Holywood and Hillsborough outlets would continue trading. Despite the closure, demand has remained strong, paving the way for the Belfast opening.

Joxer has become known for its welcoming service and wide-ranging menu. Diners can expect brunch staples like buttermilk pancakes alongside heartier dishes such as chicken and waffles, while the evening service offers classics from steaks to pasta.

The business also stands out for being dog-friendly, a feature that has made its existing restaurants particularly popular with pet owners and families.

With its combination of relaxed dining and community appeal, the new Ormeau Road location is expected to become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.
