Six appeal in LCN Awards’ Café/Bistro of Year category
The shortlist for the LCN Awards Café/Bistro of the Year, sponsored by Frylite, has been unveiled with six shiny venues staking their claim for the crown at the Gatsby themed LCN Awards night.
The venues that made the shortlist are:
- Grand Central Hotel, Belfast
- Shed Bistro, Belfast
- Groucho’s on the Square, Richhill
- Courtney’s Café, Newry
- Haptik, Newtownards
- Sugarcane Café Bistro, Comber
Celebrating his shortlisting, Haptik owner Johnny McBride told LCN: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted in what is such a strong category and we are super proud and thankful to our teams across both locations, their hard work, determination and support allowed us to successfully launch the new cafe.
“People are the foundation of our cafes, both those who work with us and those who visit us. The recognition is a little more special this time round, we launched ‘Haptik Two’ at the tail end of the pandemic 10 months ago and are grateful for everyone’s support.
“We are looking forward to getting glammed up for a great night at the prestigious LCN award ceremony in September, celebrating the best in NI hospitality. The night itself will no doubt be great craic and obviously should we happen to win that would be the cherry in top!”
