Hastings high tea takes Regency inspiration

With Bridgerton star Rége-Jean Page recently spotted filming in Belfast, the Culloden Estate and Spa and Slieve Donard Resort & Spa have gone all Regency with the launch of an afternoon tea experience sure to gain the approval of the Duke of Hastings and Lady Whistledown.

Guests with a taste for the finer things in life can now stimulate their tastebuds starting with Lady Whistledown’s Starter, followed by Queen Charlotte’s Delectable Sandwiches, Lady Bridgerton’s Finest Scones and Lady Danbury’s Desserts and Dainty Cakes.

All can be complemented with tea or coffee or perhaps even Lady Whistledown’s Gossipy Gimlet cocktail or a glass or two of the finest champagne.

Lisa Steele, General Manager of the Culloden Estate & Spa said: “The Bridgerton Inspired Afternoon Tea, is an experience like no other and gives guests the chance to indulge and live the high life, just like they did in the 1800’s.

‘The high life’

“No detail has been overlooked when creating this unique afternoon tea, from the finest period linen we use to dress the table to the fine bone china we have specifically sourced. In keeping with the Regency era, each stage of the afternoon tea will be served separately which really adds to the experience.”

The Bridgerton Inspired Afternoon Tea is served in Vespers Restaurant overlooking the beautiful gardens of the Culloden Estate and in the Oak Restaurant in the Slieve Donard Resort with stunning views of the Mourne Mountains accompanied by Bridgerton themed music.
