‘Gramable’ NI cafe to close as owner retires

A Co Down cafe known for its ‘Gramable’ interiors  and tray bakes is closing its doors after five years in business.

No8 Court Street in Newtownards, a family-run boutique coffee shop, has announced that it will have its final day of serving on Saturday, November 11.

The decision to close came as owner Gail has decided to retire and sell the business.

In a message to customers on social media, the family thanked everyone in the community for their support since they first opened in 2018.

They have confirmed that the premises has been bought and a new cafe or restaurant is set to move in after No8 closes.

Taking to Instagram, they said: “Five years of No8 and now it’s time for our little fam to pass the premises over for someone else to enjoy.

“Some of you will know that we’ve had No8 up for sale for a little while now as boss lady mum is retiring and we are super excited for the lovely family who will be moving in with their own cafe/ restaurant.

“It’s been a wild ride and thank you to everyone who visited and thank you to everyone who’s worked with us.”
