Giuseppe’s bringing winning Omagh recipe to Belfast

A popular family run Co Tyrone pizzeria is making the move to the big city, with  Malone Road in Belfast.

Giuseppe’s first opened on John Street in Omagh 17 years ago and quickly became a firm favourite with those around the town.

After another opening in Strabane followed, owner Aidan McCausland has decided to try his luck at the premises in the student area in the south of the city.

“A lot of the students used to come home at Christmas and say we live coming home for the pizzas,” he said. “There would be a lot of students in Belfast from Omagh and Tyrone, a lot of people living there as well now.

“They seem to like the Omagh style of pizza and say they can’t get close to it in Belfast.

“There’s a lot of good pizza places but they just don’t seem to have the same style of dough or base. So I was keeping an eye out for any spaces that came available and luckily enough this came up a few months ago.
