Co Down cafe owner puts business up for sale

A popular County Down cafe has been put up for sale with its owner set to retire.

The Posthouse Cafe has been owned by Ann for the past decade, who has now decided it’s time to pass on the reigns of the Waringstown landmark. “The business is now for sale, if you or someone you know is interested, please do not hesitate to contact me,” she said.

“Thank you to all my loyal customers over the years, You have made the last 10 years in the Posthouse a pleasure. My final day will be on the 28th June at the Vintage Cavalcade but we have lots of time until then.”

Ann was inundated with messages of thanks from customers.

“What will we do now? And what will you do? Silly question. I hope you get a good buyer,” said one.

“You and the girls will be sadly missed. You have all done a fantastic job and provided a great service,” said another.

One message said: “The craic won’t be the same without you all. You’ll be greatly missed.”
