Clayton Hotel Belfast announces reopening procedures to protect staff and guests

Clayton Hotel Belfast part of Dalata Group Hotel Group plc, the largest hotel operator across the Republic of Ireland and the fastest-growing operator in the UK, has announced their plans to reopen as per NI Executive guidelines on Friday 3rd July 2020.

The luxury Belfast city centre hotel said it was introducing a new and comprehensive series of industry-leading measures in order to reassure guests of their safety and comfort during their stay.

New procedures include online check-in facility, protective screens, floor signage and enhanced touch point cleaning programme.  A bespoke sanitation treatment device referred to as a “fogging system” using Anolyte is an extra layer of sterilisation.  This is used in “Clean Room Technology” throughout the pharmaceutical sector and some hospitals.   A seal tag is placed on each guestroom door to indicate full sanitisation.

Clayton Hotels has appointed Bureau Veritas a trusted global leader in testing, inspections, and certification. By using this expertise, they are ensuring best practice compliance of measurements.

Jonathan Topping, General Manager Clayton Hotel Belfast, said:

“For several months we have been preparing the hotel for the return of hotel leisure guests.  We have implemented enhanced sanitisation procedures and new practices to keep our guests and staff safe.  We were proud to be one of the few hotels who remained open during the pandemic for key and essential workers and we look forward to the return of our hotel leisure guests”
