Jean-Christophe Novelli Returns to Belfast
as AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast Invests in Summer Dining Experience and Introduction of New Leadership Team
AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast welcomed celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli back to the city this week for an exclusive summer showcase, highlighting the hotel’s refreshed food and beverage offering and continued investment in guest experience.
Hosted on The Terrace, the event brought together media, influencers and key stakeholders to celebrate the start of summer and experience the hotel’s refreshed seasonal offering against the backdrop of Belfast’s iconic waterfront.
Guests had an opportunity to experience the hotel’s summer offering, including new seasonal menus and the return of the popular Terrace Airstream, where Belfast Coffee Company refreshments are served from Monday to Thursday against the backdrop of the River Lagan.
The visit comes at an exciting time for AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast as the hotel continues to strengthen its hospitality proposition through investment in both its culinary offering and leadership team.
Jean-Christophe Novelli, the celebrity chef behind Novelli at City Quays, said:
“Coming back to Belfast, and to what I affectionately call my baby – Novelli at City Quays – always feels incredibly special. With its stunning riverside setting, views across the Belfast skyline and the warmth of the team, it remains my favourite place to visit.
“I was honoured when I was first invited to be part of this unique partnership and I remain just as passionate about its potential today. Working alongside the hotel team, we continue to evolve the dining experience, creating seasonal menus that reflect my Mediterranean heritage while celebrating great local produce.
“What makes this destination special is its versatility. Whether you’re joining us for a coffee from the Airstream, lunch on The Terrace, pre-theatre dining or a special occasion, there is something for everyone.
“Our journey is far from over. We share an ambition to continue raising the bar and establish Novelli at City Quays as one of Belfast’s must-visit dining destinations.”
The event also provided an opportunity to highlight recent appointments within the hotel’s senior leadership team, with Michael Sheppard joining as Deputy General Manager and William Mills appointed Executive Head Chef.
Working alongside the wider culinary team, William is leading the continued development of the food offering across AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast, with a focus on seasonal ingredients, innovative menus and memorable dining experiences.
Paula Stuart, General Manager of AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast, added:
“We were delighted to welcome Jean-Christophe back to Belfast and to showcase everything that makes AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast such a special destination during the summer months.
“The Terrace and Novelli at City Quays continue to play a central role in our offering, providing visitors with a unique waterfront setting alongside great food and service. Our new seasonal menus, together with the return of the Terrace Airstream, and mid-morning menu reflect our commitment to creating memorable experiences for both hotel guests and local visitors alike.
“We’re also delighted to welcome Michael Sheppard and William Mills to our leadership team. Their experience, passion and fresh perspectives will play an important role as we continue to evolve our offering, enhance the guest experience and build on the strong momentum we have created across the hotel.”
Located on the banks of the River Lagan, AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast continues to attract both leisure and business guests seeking stylish accommodation, premium dining experiences and a central location.
From morning coffee and relaxed lunches to evening dining, celebrations and overnight stays, AC Hotel by Marriott Belfast continues to strengthen its position as one of the city’s most distinctive waterfront destinations for both visitors and local guests.
With further investment planned in the months ahead, the hotel remains focused on enhancing every aspect of the guest journey and reinforcing its position as one of Belfast’s leading hospitality destinations.
