Lough Erne Resort Climbs 11 Places in Prestigious World Top 100 Golf Resorts Ranking
Lough Erne Resort has been recognised as one of the world’s finest golfing destinations, climbing an impressive 11 places to secure 65th position in Golf World’s Top 100 Golf Resorts ranking.
The ranking places the Fermanagh resort amongst the global elite. Only four other Irish resorts featured in the list, compiled by an expert international panel who consider course quality, facilities, setting and overall experience.
Golf World praised Lough Erne Resort for its exceptional blend of championship golf and luxury hospitality, stating:
“This is a big jump for this Northern Irish resort but justified as the golf is more than matched by a 5-star hotel, which sits within a distinctive, ancient building. The lough-edge setting is beautiful and tranquil.”
Home to two championship courses, Lough Erne Resort offers golfers a world-class experience set against the stunning natural backdrop of the Fermanagh Lakelands.
Last year, The Faldo Course, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, secured a Top 10 position in Golf World’s Top 100 Parkland Courses in Great Britain and Ireland. Judges celebrated The Faldo course for its water features and distinctive sand-based construction that ensures excellent year-round play.
Meanwhile, with more than 30 strategically placed bunkers, the Castle Hume Course has hosted 10 Ulster PGA Championships and is revered by golfers of all abilities.
Enhancing the overall golf offering, the Resort’s Golf Academy features the innovative Toptracer interactive system which provides real-time shot analysis and immersive gameplay, transforming both practice and coaching experiences.
