Joxer to close Bangor branch while focusing on future expansion
Joxer, the well-known dog-friendly café and restaurant chain, has announced the closure of its Bangor branch, with its final day of operation scheduled for 19th January 2025.
The closure follows nearly three years of successful service at the Holborn Avenue location.
In an official statement shared on social media, the team expressed their appreciation for the support from both customers and staff:
“A little news from us. Our time in this little corner of Bangor has come to an end. Our final day with you all will be Sunday 19th January. We have loved every second of being here with you. We have met the best customers who are now friends for life. We’ve served the goodest doggos that ever existed & have worked with some of hospitality’s BEST.”
The company also reassured its loyal customer base that the Holywood and Hillsborough branches will remain operational:
“Holywood & Hillsborough remain open as usual so don’t panic if you miss us! All vouchers remain useable in both Holywood (25 Church Road) and Hillsborough (16 Lisburn Street) for the duration of validity, no matter which location they were purchased in. We have a little feeling there might be more places to spend your vouchers with us soon.”
The closure announcement comes as the company shifts focus to its future growth plans, with an emphasis on new locations and expanding its brand presence. Joxer encouraged Bangor regulars to visit their other outlets and indicated the potential for further expansion:
“We have a little feeling there might be more places to spend your vouchers with us soon.”
