Toastie pop-up teases exciting return to Belfast
A popular toastie pop-up that gained major attention across Northern Ireland in 2021 has hinted at making a return to Belfast.
The Toast Office, which first appeared in the Cathedral Quarter’s Hill Street hatch, launched during the Covid-19 pandemic, when restrictions on social distancing and outdoor dining were in place.
Founded by Ryan Crowne and Emma O’Kane, the pop-up was established to help revitalise the struggling hospitality industry. It quickly became a standout success, with viral TikTok videos driving large crowds to the hatch. This led to the opening of a second location in the Dark Horse.
Crowne Creative, the company behind the hatch, has now teased the possibility of a more permanent Toast Office location. In a recent Instagram post, they shared computer-generated images of what the new venue could look like, showcasing seating areas and a collection station. The post was tagged in Belfast, accompanied by the caption: “Anyone for more toasties?”
While the exact location remains undisclosed, the images have stirred excitement among fans eager for the pop-up’s return. The Toast Office has become a favourite for those seeking comforting, delicious food, and its return is highly anticipated. Although the venue’s new address is still a mystery, fans can expect it to be just as popular as before when it reopens.
