Two successful Belfast businessmen who helped rejuvenate one of the oldest spirit brands in Ireland have extended its reputation as a multi- award winner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Dunville\u2019s was once one of the best-selling Irish whiskeys in the US before Prohibition brought a ban on sales of spirits a century ago and the historic Dunville\u2019s Royal Irish Distilleries closed in 1931 due to a family tragedy.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the latest recognition for Dunville\u2019s, which was rejuvenated in 2012, Jarlath, above left, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to be named Best Overall Whiskey of the Year at the prestigious Irish Whiskey Awards. To come out on top in such a vibrant industry in a tremendous achievement. It\u2019s great to be involved in the revival of \u2018The Spirit of Belfast\u2019 whiskey.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dunville\u2019s also gained a second award \u2013 \u2018Best Irish Single Malt Whiskey\u2019 for its 20-year old Oloroso and PX Sherry Cask Finish whiskey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
